Pain Relievers Write For Us – Pain Relievers are medicines that reduce or relieve headaches, arthritis, sore muscles or other pains and aches. Basically, there are many different pain medicines, and each one has advantages and risks.
Pain relievers relieve discomfort caused by illnesses, injuries, surgeries and chronic conditions. Everyone experiences pain differently. The pain may come on suddenly (sharp). Chronic pain can last for months or years.
Painkillers have many names:

Over-The-Control Medicines
Sometimes the pain responds better to some medicines than others. Moreover, each person may also have a slightly different response to a pain reliever. OTC (over-the-counter) medicines are good for many types of pain. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the two main types of OTC pain medicines. Aspirin, naproxen (Aleve) and Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) are examples of OTC NSAIDs.
If over-the-control (OTC) medicines don’t relieve your pain, consult the doctor. Your doctor may prescribe stronger doses. Many non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are also available at higher prescription doses. The most powerful pain relievers are narcotics. They are very effective, but sometimes they can have serious side effects. Due to their risk factors, you must use them only under a doctor’s supervision.
Besides, there are many things that you can do to help ease the pain. Pain relievers are just one part of the pain treatment plan.

How Do Pain Relievers Work?
Pain relievers act like a sponge and absorb the pain.
When something is causing us damage, such as the tip of a needle or pencil, special cells called nociceptors send signals to the brain. The brain then perceives it as pain. However, when cells of the body are severely damaged or injured, they release chemicals like arachidonic acid. The arachidonic acid fits in enzymes called COX-1 and COX-2, forming prostaglandin and other compounds. These compounds the sensitivity of nociceptors, due to which it pains or hurts more.
The most common painkillers are aspirin and Ibuprofen. These painkillers work by attaching themselves to COX-1 and COX-2. Thus blocking them and not allowing arachidonic acid to bind to them. As a result, prostaglandin is not produced, and the sensitivity of nociceptors decreases. Hence the pain begins to subside
